You have to start by playing Jenga the traditional way. Stack the Jenga tower up and remove the blocks.

How high can your family build the tower? Do you use only one hand when removing blocks? Bend the rules and see if you can build the tower even taller?

Jenga Game #2 – Roll a Die

Add a die (or even two dice if you prefer) to the game. (Use the ones from Monopoly.) Roll the die. Remove that many Jenga blocks on your turn.

This adds to the difficulty of the game. You don’t have as long to think about which block you might remove.

Jenga Game #3 – Build Your Own Tower

Build with the Jenga blocks. Don’t stack them in the traditional 3 x 3 pattern. Build however you want.

Who can make the tallest tower? Can you build a house with 10 blocks? Who can build the coolest tower?

Jenga Game #4 – Make a Domino Chain

Stand the blocks up and space them apart so that when you knock over one block, they all fall over (the domino effect). How long can you make your Jenga domino chain?

Can you make it curve or go in a circle? How can you make the Jenga dominoes fall up hill?

Jenga Game #5 – Jenga + Monopoly

For this game, you’ll need Jenga and Monopoly money.

Tricky Towers - Candy Bricks For Mac Os

Build the Jenga tower like normal. For each block you remove, earn 1 Monopoly dollar. When you’ve earned 5 Monopoly dollars, exchange them for one $5. Earn 5 more Monopoly dollars and exchange for a $10.

This game practices counting and visualizing money. Five $1s equals one $5. Two $5 equals one $10.

How high can you make your tower before it falls? The Monopoly money is a fun way to keep track of how many blocks you’ve used.

Jenga Bonus Game

Write on the Jenga blocks (or use tape) for learning numbers, letters, words, or math facts. Play the traditional game. Once a block is pulled out, read what is on it, complete the math problem, or answer the question. It’s such a fun way to add in a little extra learning.

M&M’s® Dark Chocolate Brownies Recipe

Brownies are my family’s favorite dessert. (Maybe because that’s what I like and make the most.) I use a simple box mix from the store and jazz it up with something special. (Like our SNICKERS® peanut butter brownies)

M&M’s® Dark Chocolate are my favorite candy. Pairing my go-to dessert with my favorite candy seemed like a brilliant idea to me. What do you think?

Look for the M&M’s® Dark Chocolate in the purple bag in the candy aisle at Walmart.

Here’s how to make the brownies.

Ingredients:

  • Your favorite brownie mix (and the oil, eggs, and water needed)
  • 1 cup M&M’s® Dark Chocolate

Directions:

  1. Follow the directions on your brownie mix for preheating the oven and mixing up the batter.
  2. Stir in 1/2 cup of M&M’s® Dark Chocolate.
  3. Pour the brownie batter into a greased pan.
  4. Sprinkle on another 1/2 of M&M’s® Dark Chocolate.
  5. Bake according to your brownie mix directions.

What is your favorite family game night dessert?
